Mr. Scary Guitars are unique, highly modified and one of a kind customized hand-crafted instruments, specifically designed, carved and crafted by the “hands” of George Lynch. All elements of the guitars, from the selection of the wood to the neck shape and pickup windings are carefully considered to produce the best sounding and most playable instruments possible that the customer desires.
George Lynch works closely with the customers to build guitars to their exact specs as much as possible. Options included wood types, neck dimensions, pickup windings, hardware options and finishes. Hardware is heavily distresses and engraved. Pickups are all custom wound to match each guitar. Average build time can be anywhere from one to six months depending on Lynch’s touring and recording commitments.
